 Downtown Vancouver is an ideal location for guests and new residents who want to be near Stanley Park and Canada Place, and close to the financial and entertainment districts. In the spring and summer, the Downtown area is home to many events, such as the Jazz Festival, the Fringe Festival, and the Symphony of Fire.
Driving time by automobile from Downtown Vancouver to central Burnaby is approximately twenty-five minutes during peak business hours. Public transit, including buses and the SkyTrain are available for commute between communities. The SeaBus is also available from Waterfront Station at the foot of Granville Street to the shopping center of Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver, which also includes the Carrie Cates Court bus loop. This great feature of the Vancouver public transit system makes the trip to the North Shore in fifteen minutes.
